Jay Mok Joins Alta Alliance Bank As Senior Vice President and Commercial Lender

Jay Mok has joined Alta Alliance Bank in Oakland as a Senior Vice President and Commercial Lender. Mok brings both loan portfolio management experience as well as marketing and sales background to his new position with the bank.

“Jay is a successful banker who knows how to deliver the quality of service that business customers expect, especially to those companies that need loans,” said Sedrick Tydus, chief operating officer.

Prior to joining Alta Alliance, Mok worked at Innovative Bank in Oakland, where he was a vice president and senior lending officer. Before that he had worked for Nara Bank in a similar capacity.

Mok earned a BA degree from the University of California, Berkeley.

Alta Alliance Bank is headquartered in Oakland’s financial district, and has branch offices in Piedmont and Los Altos. At September 30, 2009, the bank had assets of $176.1 million.
